Services

We would love for you to visit us for a weekend service. We have several service options available for you: 9AM, 10:45AM or join us online! Upon your arrival, be on the lookout for our “First Time Guest” tent, it’s right outside the front doors. Make sure to say “hi” to our volunteers there. They’d love to meet you, help you get your kids checked-in to our children’s ministries, and find you a great seat so you can enjoy the service.

Our services are approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes long. We have a time of worship, through song, and a message (sermon) that focuses on specific Scripture and the topics covered therein.

If you have any questions after the service, our volunteers would love to answer them! If you’re looking to get plugged in, head on over to the Next Steps area in the lobby. There, you can meet some of our staff and pastors and get to know a little more about Journey. We hope to see you soon! Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

First Time Guests FAQ’s

Shorts and t-shirt or suit and tie, it doesnt matter to us. Just pick an outfit that you already own and that you feel comfortable in, and join us! You don’t need to dress up if you don’t want to, simply come as you are.

Upon your arrival, our Parking Team will help you find a parking spot – make sure to turn on your hazards. They’ll be able to connect you with a Hospitality Team member who can show you around. Make sure to stop at our “First Time Guest” tent! We’ve got a group of volunteers there, just for you! They’ll answer any questions you have, help get your kids checked in to JLittles or JKidz (our children’s ministries), and show you the way to the Worship Center.

There’s a 5 minute countdown timer on the TVs in the lobby and the screens in the Worship Center to let everyone know when service is starting (9AM + 10:45AM). Our services begin promptly but don’t feel shy coming in if you’re a few minutes late. We start off with worship, led by our Worship Team, then we roll right into the message (sermon), then end with more worship songs. All said and done, our services usually last around 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The worship style is contemporary. There are multicolor stage lights but we avoid strobing effects. The sermon is preached in an expository style; meaning that we concentrate on specific Scripture and discuss the topics that are covered therein.

Absolutely not. We never call out anyone during services. We have people of all different ages and stages of life. You are more than welcome to come and enjoy our service – simply listen and participate as you feel comfortable.

We advise showing up about 10-15 minutes prior to the start time of the service. This will help provide extra time to find a convenient parking space, visit the First Time Guest area, use the restroom, grab a cup of coffee, and find your preferred seat in the Worship Center. If you do happen to be late for a service time, don’t worry! You are welcome to enter the sanctuary anytime during our service.

Absolutely! At Journey, we don’t have “childcare”, we have Children’s Ministry! We believe in the importance of ministering to the needs of even our littlest attenders. Our JLittles Nursery and Preschool areas have been carefully created with your child in mind. The safe and comfortable environments are split from infants, crawlers, and walkers so that your child can enjoy the experience with other children their age.

We also have a Nursing Mother’s + Calming Room available with comfortable chairs if you need someplace quiet to be with your infant. The Response Team or Ushers can help direct you to that location.

Our JKidz (K-5) area is a fun and intentional environment where your child will learn to LOVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS, DO THEIR BEST, and HAVE FUN!

When you arrive with your kids, you will have help learning how to get them checked-in and dropped off in their classes. You will be briefed on our security system for pick-up and drop-off and will receive a tag that matches the code on your child’s tag. Your child may only be dropped off, picked up and released to the person(s) who has their matching tag
